A CO2 BB gun is a gun that is powered with CO2 mechanism and it is used to fire ball bearings or BBs.

Most CO2 guns use a powerlet which is a disposable cylinder. It is purchased as pre-filled with 12 grams of liquid carbon dioxide. Some expensive models of this CO2 bb guns use large refillable CO2 reservoirs like the ones used in paintball markers.

Airsoft equipment consists of many types of equipment including the airsoft gun used to fire airsoft pellets, safety goggles, vests, equipment holders and gun accessories etc. The guns used in airsoft are normally copies of real firearms. Airsoft guns are classified as spring, electric or gas-powered. The gun is selected according the performance level such as battery life, magazine capacity and range.

BB guns are a type of air gun produced to fire spherical projectiles called BB’s after the Birdshot pellet of approx. same size. They can be pointed, but they are normally used for bird hunting. Today’s BB guns have a barrel of bore diameter of 4.5 mm. They are made up of steel with zinc or copper plating to avoid corrosion and are 4.34-4.39 mm in diameter. Some manufacturers also make lead BB’s of slightly large diameter which are used in rifled gun barrels. Some Asian companies produce plastic BB’s for recreational purpose.
